Drone jammer, as the name suggests, is a device specifically designed to interfere with and block drone communication signals. In recent years, with the popularization of UAV and the expansion of application scope, UAV jammer is playing an increasingly important role in military, security, civil aviation and other fields. So, how does the drone jammer block the drone communication signal? This paper will analyze in detail from the principle and technical level.
There are two main ways for drones to communicate: radio remote control and satellite communication. Radio remote control is one of the most common communication methods, through the remote control to emit wireless signals, control the flight of the drone and perform specific tasks. Satellite communication is mainly used for long-distance and cross-border UAV control, and high-speed and stable communication is achieved through geosynchronous satellites.
In view of these two communication modes, the UAV jammer adopts different technical means to block. For radio remote control signals, UAV jammers mainly use frequency interference and power interference in two ways.
1. Frequency interference: Frequency interference interferes with the receiving equipment of the drone by transmitting the same or similar frequency signal with the remote control of the drone, so that it can not receive the signal sent by the remote control normally. This method of interference is simple and easy to implement, but it is highly targeted and effective only for signals of specific frequencies. In order to improve the jamming effect, frequency jamming usually needs to be combined with other jamming means.
2. Power interference: Power interference is to transmit high-power signals to cover and suppress the receiving equipment of the UAV, so that it can not work normally. This jamming method has good universality and can produce jamming effect on signals of different frequencies. However, because the high-power signal may have an impact on other electronic devices, it is necessary to strictly control the power and range in use.
For satellite communication signals, the UAV jammer mainly adopts two ways: spectrum scanning and time domain jamming.
1. Spectrum scanning: Spectrum scanning is to find the frequency of the drone communication signal by scanning the frequency band of satellite communication, and then launch the corresponding interference signal to block. This jamming method has high pertinence and can realize effective blocking of specific satellite communication signals. However, due to the need to constantly scan the spectrum, the real-time performance is poor, and it is suitable for countering stationary or low-speed moving drones.
2. Time domain interference: Time domain interference is through the application of interference signals in the time domain of the UAV communication signal, so that it can not be transmitted normally. This jamming method has better real-time performance and can produce better jamming effect on fast-moving UAV. However, due to the limitation of signal transmission characteristics, time domain interference may lead to the distortion and the increase of bit error rate of UAVS communication signal.
The UAV jammer realizes the effective blocking of the UAV communication signal by using the technical means of frequency jamming, power jamming, spectrum scanning and time domain jamming. These technical means can be used alone in practical applications, but also can be combined with each other to achieve the best interference effect.
However, with the development of UAV technology, the anti-interference ability of UAV is also improving. Therefore, the future UAV jammer research and development also need to continue to innovate and improve in order to cope with the increasingly severe UAV threats and challenges.
